What is the difference in care between the lucky bamboo and the plant dracaena sanderiana. I have the plant it's in soil not on the bamboo all the websites talk about the bamboo and how to care for but what about the plant. It looks like the green and cream leaves but not bamboo. I am new to the plant world and would like to keep it health and growing. i had added a picture of my plant
thank you

Lucky Bamboo and the Dracaena Sanderiana are the same!
Lucky Bamboo is only cut off stems of Dracaena Sanderiana (but much more taller than yours!) Mostley they are sold like cut flowers and you can also grow them only in water, but for your Dracaena it will be better to leave it in soil!

Potting in soil will not make the Lucky Bamboo look more than this plant. But it´s quit possible to pot it in soil.
If you pot a thrive of the lucky with roots in soil. It would look like this little plant.
The shape of the Lucky Bamboo (stem) will be made of big dracaena plants. They will be cut and the leaves will be removed. That makes the >stem-look<!
If you look to an older LB with big thrives you can imagine the stem.
The rings of the Lucky bamboo are the positions were the leaves have grown!
