Hello, I purchased 3 stalks of spiralling lucky bamboo about 2 months ago. One of the stalks recently turned yellow at the top where the leaves grow. I just added some more fresh water and waited to see what happened. However, the results were not good, the yellow spread down throughout the whole spiral! When I compared the hardness of the normal green stalk to the yellow stalk it was much more 'squishy'.
I took out all three stalks, dumped the water, washed the rocks, and refilled the water with filtered water form my fridge. Then I washed the roots and put the bamboo back in its vase.
I’m pretty sure the yellow bamboo is a goner, but I was wondering, if I cut off all the dead part (yes I know this means losing the spiral) would my plant survive?
Also, will it grow taller and grow new leaves?
And finally, a second bamboo started to turn yellow just at the tip and the leaves are still green, is there anything I can do to save it?
Thank you for listening |
