Red spots?

I have been worried about my center stalk because it has noticable lines running down it and looks as though it is shriveling up. Also some of the leaves are turning yellow. Now I noticed the stalk next to it is developing a patch of bright red spots that are raised. Does anyone know what this could be or how to fix it? I'd appreciate any help.
